A Home Turned Towards the Light
For a family of four with a son and daughter, the promise of Scenic Villa lay in its outlook. Beyond an interior that had felt dark, the sea offered an expansive horizon and the possibility of a different atmosphere. Their wish was to bring that sense of openness into daily life—to make daylight, and the pleasure of the view, central to the experience of home.
The design takes its cue from this outward gaze. Pale tones give the interior a luminous softness, while the living space gathers around the broad balcony doors. The sea becomes a presence within the room, its changing light lending movement to the restrained palette. A generous sofa and low, rounded ottoman keep the composition relaxed, allowing the outlook to remain its natural focus.
The family’s affection for Western interiors finds expression in moulded wall panels and decorative ceiling details. These introduce a gentle architectural rhythm, giving the rooms definition without overwhelming their lightness. There is a familiar elegance to the framing, balanced by contemporary furniture and the warmth of timber cabinetry. Blue accents in the rug and cushions draw a quiet connection to the water beyond.
Throughout, the atmosphere balances openness with the intimacy of family life. Soft upholstery offers a place to gather, while the measured detailing gives the home a composed backdrop for everyday activity. The result feels bright and welcoming, with a classical sensibility worn lightly.
At Scenic Villa, daylight gives the home its emotional register. It marks the passing hours, softens the architectural lines and draws the family’s attention towards the horizon. A once-dark apartment becomes a setting for a lighter way of living, with the sea woven into the ordinary pleasures of being together.
