For the family of three at Royal Peninsula, a more comfortable home began with reconsidering the everyday. The original three-bedroom apartment felt constrained by an enclosed kitchen and a single bathroom, its arrangement bringing friction to familiar routines. The opportunity was to give those routines more room, creating a home that felt easier to share.

Opening the kitchen changed the relationship between the living spaces. Where an enclosure had interrupted the interior, a more open composition allowed cooking, conversation and time together to belong to the same setting. The apartment gained a sense of breadth, with clearer connections making its compact footprint feel more generous.

A careful division of the original bathroom addressed another practical pressure point. Reorganising this space made the daily demands of a three-bedroom home easier to accommodate, illustrating how a modest area can make a meaningful difference to the experience of the whole. Here, the design’s ingenuity lies as much in these quiet adjustments as in its visible details.

The family’s openness to colour gave the interior a more expressive layer. Botanical imagery, greenery and warm timber bring a fresh, companionable character to the living space. Fine vertical detailing and veined surfaces add texture, while open shelving creates moments for personal objects within the fitted cabinetry. The palette feels light and welcoming, with pattern lending personality to the architectural order.

Royal Peninsula’s transformation is ultimately about the ease of being together. A kitchen opened to the life around it, a bathroom reconsidered around daily needs, and a setting with room for colour and character: each contributes to a home that feels more generous in use, more connected in spirit and more closely attuned to the family within.
